Harbour Prinsentuin Leeuwarden
The city harbour around the Prinsentuin in Leeuwarden is one of the most beautiful harbours in the Netherlands. You can moor your boat in the Prinsentuin as a visitor. You can moor your boat in the middle of the park at Noordersingel or at Westerplantage.
Harbours and maps
Prinsentuin
- Prinsentuin forms the heart of the harbour. You moor your boat in the middle of the park. In this park you will find facilities such as a restaurant en grand café De Koperen Tuin and the Pier Pandermuseum.
- Toilets, showers and washing machines are available at the marina office.
- The underground waste containers are located in Prinsentuin.
- The black water pumps/bilge stations are at the Vrouwenpoortbrug and at the Noorderbrug, seen from Prinsentuin.
Noordersingel
- The moorings at Noordersingel are opposite the Prinsentuin, on the other side of the water. You can get to Prinsentuin by ferry.
- The ferry is free of charge and runs every day during the summer holidays in the Northern Netherlands region. The ferry sails from 08:00 am to 8.00 pm. Everyone can use the ferry. The ferry is electrically-driven.
- Toilets, showers and washing machines are available at the marina office in Prinsentuin.
- There are two underground waste containers at Noordersingel.
- The black water pumps/bilge stations are at the Vrouwenpoortbrug and at the Noorderbrug, seen from Prinsentuin.
Westerplantage
- The moorings at Westerplantage are on the other side of the Vrouwenpoortbrug, towards Stadschouwburg De Harmonie.
- There is a separate toilet and shower building at Westerplantage.
- Washing machines are available at the marina office in Prinsentuin.
- There is a large waste container at the entrance of Westerplantage.
- The black water pumps/bilge stations are at the Vrouwenpoortbrug and at the Noorderbrug, seen from Prinsentuin.

Payment of mooring fees, water tourist tax and amenities
Mooring fees and water tourist tax
You can register at the marina office from 2:00 pm. You can also wait for the harbour master to come to you. The harbour master makes several rounds of the harbour and will be happy to meet you at your boat. You can pay by debit card, credit card or the mobile banking app on your phone. You cannot pay in cash. After payment you will be given a receipt showing all relevant details. Place this receipt at a place on your boat. where the harbour master can see it.
Amenities
The mooring fee covers electricity, water and the use of the toilet and showers. You are not charged separately for these amenities. You can use the shower and toilet with an access code provided by the harbour master. Do you have credit on your marina payment card? You can only use it during the marina office opening hours.
