Adopt an underground container

Do you, too, like to live in a clean and tidy neighbourhood? You can help by adopting an underground container. Complete the application form ‘Adopt an underground container’. That involves keeping the area around the containers in your neighbourhood tidy and keeping an eye on the situation. Together with the local authority. You can do this on your own, with a group of people or with your neighbours. That makes you a ‘container adopter’.

What does a container adopter do?

You make sure it is neat and tidy around the underground container. For example, by clearing up litter and sweeping the pavement.
You can dispose of rubbish bags left at the underground container using the ‘Schone buurtpas’.
Is there waste next to the container that does not fit? Report this using the Omrin waste app or the contact form on the Omrin website. They will come and collect it.

Adopting a container is voluntary

You decide how often you check the area around the underground container. Every little helps.
We will provide you with cleaning materials. For example, a broom, gloves, a dustpan and brush and a grabber.
