Can you no longer keep your home clean (completely) by yourself? Household help may be a solution for you.
Do you need home help?
You can seek (paid) home help in your own area. You can also use a laundry service for your laundry, a meal service for your food, or a supermarket delivery service for your groceries.

Do you have an indication under the Long-Term Care Act (Wlz)? Apply for household help at the Friesland Health Care Office. Household help is a form of ‘Long-term care’.
Is this not the right solution for you?
In that case, you may be able to get household help under the Social Support Act (Wmo). Contact MIEP Huishoudservice and Thuiszorg Het Friese Land. Together, they organise household help for the City of Leeuwarden. You can apply for household help via the HbH Leeuwarden website or call 058-2337777. MIEP Huishoudservice and Thuiszorg Het Friese Land help you find pinpoint what support you need. You pay a personal contribution for a facility under the Wmo.
Would you like to buy Home Help yourself with a Personal Care Budget (PGB)?
Submit your application online (you will need DigiD). Are you unwilling or unable to apply online? Download and complete the Wmo Application Form and fill in. Send the form to the City of Leeuwarden. You can also hand it in at the Town Hall.
What happens next?
A local authority employee will call you within 6 weeks of receiving your application. The employee will first ask for more information about your situation. This can be done through a telephone interview or a meeting at your home. A solution is sought together with you. The local authority will let you know within 2 weeks of the interview whether you can be given Home Help via a PGB. You pay a personal contribution for a facility under the Wmo.
If there are many applications at once, it may take a little longer. The local authority will inform you of this.
