Gerrit as a wedding registrar
I’m Gerrit Doeland, married and proud father of three children. I spend my time off taking part in sporting challenges and I regularly go to Ameland to relax. I enjoy having people around me. In my role as team manager, I have a natural drive to connect. I’m used to speaking to groups of people. Doing so in Frisian is no problem for me: that’s the language I was brought up with.
Yes, I’d love to be your wedding registrar!
It would be an honour to contribute in this way to ‘the best day of your life’. Most importantly, it all centres on you as the wedding couple.
I’ll join you for a chat about all the nice, loving and funny things you’ve enjoyed in your lives. Listening carefully and asking the right questions will help me produce a story to relate at your wedding. I’ll then translate that story into a personal, inspired and joyful speech that you, as well as your friends, family and witnesses, will relate to in every way. This speech centres entirely on you.
I see every wedding, be it modest or grand, as unique and give it the same amount of attention. My mission has only succeeded if you tell me afterwards that “it was a ceremony that exactly suited us as a couple”.
