Diversity and Inclusion grant scheme
Would you like to organise an activity in Leeuwarden that directly and practically contributes to diversity and inclusion awareness and increases mutual understanding among residents, businesses and institutions and combats prejudice and discrimination in Leeuwarden? If so you can apply for the Diversity and Inclusion grant scheme.
Conditions
The grant is provided for inclusion activities in the forms listed below, such as:
- dialogue meetings
- commemoration meetings
- education meetings
- debate meetings
- emancipation-oriented meetings
- or other (innovative) forms for meetings and mutual understanding between residents and/or organisations where diversity and inclusion are central.
The grant applied for will be provided if:
- the activity takes place in the City of Leeuwarden;
- the activity aims to bridge differences and promote social cohesion between people from diverse backgrounds;
- the activity is aimed at groups rather than individuals;
- the activity falls outside the already existing grant schemes of the City of Leeuwarden;
- the activity is of a public nature and is open to all.
What should you attach to your application?
- An activity plan. This includes an overview describing the nature, scope, period, duration, location and method of implementation of the activities for which funding is sought. A description of the nature, background, rationale, approach, planning, PR and desired audience reach is also requested.
- A balanced and, in the opinion of the city executive, sufficiently specified and explained budget of income and expenditure. The budget also shows the requested grant amount.
Until when can you submit an application?
The scheme is open from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2026.
Applications for 2025
You must submit these by 1 September 2025.
Applications for 2026
You can submit these from 1 October 2025 onwards.
