Rules for visiting the Town Hall
It is important to us that everyone feels welcome at the Town Hall. That is why some rules have been made for your and our safety. We ask you to adhere to these rules. This will keep our site (and the immediate surroundings) a pleasant and safe place for you and our staff.
What do we expect from you?
Respect
- We treat each other respectfully.
- We treat municipal and other people’s property respectfully.
- Give our staff the space to do their jobs.
Instructions
- All instructions given by staff and security personnel related to the house rules must be carried out immediately.
Nuisance behaviour
- We do not accept swearing, spitting, discriminatory language, shouting, threats or physical violence.
- You must not cause a nuisance to other customers or visitors.
Weapons
- It is forbidden to carry striking weapons, firearms or stabbing weapons.
Smoking, alcohol and drugs
- You must not smoke, use alcohol and/or drugs, or be under the influence of them in the building.
Skates and boards
- You may not enter the building with (roller) skates, scooters or other means of transport. The purpose of this is to prevent accidents. An exception is formed by the use of a wheelchair.
Animals
- Pets are not allowed in the building. This is to prevent others from being inconvenienced. Guide dogs form an exception to this rule.
Audio and video recordings
- The municipality of Leeuwarden allows audio recording. Unless there are important reasons not to allow this. In that case, another solution will be considered.
- You can make it clear that you want an audio recording before the interview. However, that is not necessary.
- If you make an audio recording, the City of Leeuwarden can also make an audio recording of the conversation for its own records.
- You must not edit the audio recording.
- Neither you nor the City of Leeuwarden will give or disclose audio or video recordings to other organisations or individuals without the other party’s consent.
- Does someone from the local authority want to make an audio recording of a conversation with you? This can only be done with your consent. You will then receive a copy of the audio recording.
- You may not film any employee of the City of Leeuwarden without permission.
- Neither you nor the City of Leeuwarden will provide or disclose audio or video recordings to third parties without the other party’s consent.
