WhatsApp Neighbourhood Watch Group

Through the WhatsApp Neighbourhood Watch website, you can check whether a WhatsApp group is already active in your neighbourhood. If no WhatsApp group is active yet, you may want to take the initiative to start one. In certain neighbourhoods, WhatsApp neighbourhood watch signs have been put up in public areas. Do you want this too? Submit a digital request.

Conditions

• The request is submitted for the entire neighbourhood.
• A map of the neighbourhood showing the signs is included in the request.
• The signs at the district’s approach roads have been registered.
• The WhatsApp neighbourhood watch signs are paid for by you (the costs are €93,60 per sign, including placing them).

If you meet the conditions, the City of Leeuwarden will contact you when the signs will be placed. The city will then send you an invoice with the outstanding amount, based on the number of signs you ordered.
