What you need to know

  • The management boards of the village, neighbourhood and district community centres listed in the policy rule on ‘grants for neighbourhood, district and village community centres’ on the website Overheid.nl (local) can submit an application for the requested grant year before 1 October.
  • If necessary for the assessment of the application, we may ask you to send us additional information.

What can you use the grant for?

The activities for which funding is sought must be related to:

  • People being able to participate, neighbours and residents getting to know each other better and no one falling behind.
  • Focused on residents from their own neighbourhood and should align with what these residents want and need.

What should you attach to your application?

  • Proof of a valid IBAN.
  • A budget in which all costs and revenues are balanced.
  • The latest statement of what has been earned and spent. This is also known as a balance sheet and operating statement.

Grant amount

The maximum grant amount you can receive is not the same for every neighbourhood, district or village community centre and is listed in ‘Appendix C. Overview of grants to institutions’ to the municipal Budget determined annually by the city council. More information can be found on the website Administrative information.

Download and complete the application form Subsidie Activiteiten buurt-, wijk- en dorpshuizen. Send the form to the City of Leeuwarden. You can also hand it in at the Town Hall.
