Subsidy scheme for insulation measures for companies
The City of Leeuwarden wants to support companies in monumental buildings to reduce their energy costs. With this scheme, building owners can receive a subsidy to insulate their business premises. This is part of a package of energy measures to reduce the rising costs of inflation.

Download the application form for the Subsidy Scheme for Insulation Measures for Companies and complete it. Send the form to the City of Leeuwarden. You can also hand it in at the Town Hall.
How does it work?
- Before submitting a request, request one or more quotes for the measures you want to have carried out.
- In addition to the application form, please enclose the following attachments:

- A copy of a valid ID: for example, a passport or identity card.
- Copies of an extract from the trade register of the Chamber of Commerce:

- of the company in the business premises;
- and if a (other) legal entity makes the application: from that legal entity.

- A copy from the public register of the land registry showing that you are the legal owner of the business premises.
- If a legal entity makes the application: a minimis declaration completed on behalf of that legal entity. For more information about a minimis declaration, see the website of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment.
- Provide a quotation or multiple quotations with:

- Name, address and place of residence of the applicant;
- A description of the insulation measures to be implemented with the specifications that meet the requirements in the appendix to the subsidy scheme (ISDE requirements) and the costs.
- If a subsidy is applied for cavity wall insulation or roof insulation from outside: a copy of the exemption granted for this under the Nature Conservation Act;
- A realistic planning for the implementation of the work, showing that it will be carried out within twelve months after the subsidy has been awarded.

Who is the scheme intended for?
The Subsidy scheme for insulation measures for companies is for business premises in the municipality of Leeuwarden (with the exception of monuments, see the subsidy scheme for sustainability of monumental business premises). For what purpose can you use the scheme?
With this scheme you can receive a subsidy to have insulating measures carried out on your business premises. This is to reduce energy costs and save energy.
What are the conditions?
- You are the owner of a business building in the City of Leeuwarden.
- You have not previously received a subsidy from this subsidy scheme.
- The activities for which a subsidy is requested must be carried out within one year after you have received the subsidy.
- The work started on or after 1 January 2024.
- Applications can be submitted until December 31, 2024 at the latest and will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
What can you get a subsidy for?
You can apply for a subsidy for the costs that are directly attributable to having a construction company install (one of) the following measures:
- Facade insulation.
- Cavity wall insulation.
- Roof insulation (or attic or attic insulation).
- Floor or ground insulation.
- HR++ glass/triple glass
- Insulated frame panel or an insulated door.
The above activities must comply with the regulations and specifications in the appendix to the regulation: Subsidy scheme for insulation measures for companies. What can you get a subsidy for?
You cannot apply for a subsidy if:
- The activities apply to new construction.
- The activities apply to a municipal monument or national monument (see the Subsidy scheme for sustainability of monumental business premises).
- The activities apply to the purchase, installation or installation of cavity wall insulation or roof insulation from outside if the province has not granted you the permit required for this on the basis of the Environmental Act and the Living Environment Activities Decree with a view to nature protection.
Grant amount
- If you have one measure implemented, you can receive 20% of the costs subsidized.
- If you have two or more measures carried out, you can receive 30% of the costs for each measure.
- Is biobased insulation material used for one or more measures? Then you can receive an extra 10% subsidy for these measures.
- Is ecological research required for an environmental permit from the province? Then you can get 50% of the costs subsidized up to a maximum of € 2,000.
- A maximum grant of €20,000 per application will be provided.
