The City of Leeuwarden plans to conclude a purchase agreement with a party for a plot of land.

The land in question is a plot of land near Gibbeflecht 4 in Mantgum, measuring 35 m2, listed in the land registry as Municipality of Jorwerd, section G, number 2036 dls.
The candidate wants to use the plot of land for expansion of his current plot.
One serious candidate
Due to a ruling by the Supreme Court, the municipality must give equal opportunities to interested parties when issuing land. A selection procedure is not necessary if it has been established in advance or can reasonably be assumed that only one candidate will be eligible for the land.
The local authority is of the opinion that there is only one serious bidder in this case, as the sold property is adjacent to only one residential plot and can be classified as a residual plot/green space. In accordance with local policy, only the immediately adjacent plot owner is then eligible to buy the municipal plot.
Disagree with the intention?
Any other bidder who feels that it should also be eligible to buy the plot must file an application for summary proceedings regarding this matter with the Northern Netherlands District Court within 20 calendar days of the date of this publication 10 July 2024.
