You’re getting married - congratulations.

I’m Marjan Groot and there’s nothing I like more than listening to people’s special and loving stories and being able to retell them at an important moment in life; your wedding day!

I started my studies at drama school. But it turned out that I was a bit to nice for that… I like to see the best in people and that wasn’t what they were looking for so my path took me in a different direction: speech therapy. The best subjects I had during the course were those about how to stand in front of a group of people and tell a great story.

I didn’t use that skill for a long time but when I started attending a lot of weddings with the wedding car it all came back to me. At the ceremony, I heard great stories about the wedding couple, how they got to know each other and their outlook on life. And often I found myself thinking how nice it would be to be able to tell the story there myself and make it an unforgettable experience. In the way that suits these people best.

Now I get to listen to your story for the City of Leeuwarden and turn it into a beautiful and, above all, fitting ceremony. With a smile and maybe a tear too, that’s all part of it.

I’ll be happy to come to your home and have a relaxed chat about your ceremony. On your wedding day, everything will come together and you’ll be able to look back on a fantastic wedding day, exactly as you had imagined it.
