Every marriage, every partnership that I get to perform is a celebration in itself for me. So I always start by expressing my thanks for allowing me the privilege.

I’ve now performed many hundreds of marriages and partnerships and every single one of them was unique and special.

What marks me out as a person and wedding registrar is my passion and love for people and their personal stories. Being a good listener is a core quality for me as a special civil registrar. There’s nothing I like more than hearing that the speech is right for you.

Besides working for the City of Leeuwarden, I’m a stand-in teacher at several primary schools. I can put my love for people to good use in both jobs.

I live just outside Leeuwarden’s city centre. By bike or on foot, I’m found out and about in the city centre.

The ceremonies I perform are mostly in Dutch. But sometimes also in my first language Friesian, or in English or German.

Should you choose me as your wedding registrar, the personal touch comes first. I’ll do everything possible to make it a fitting, special moment for you. Long or short, elaborate or simple. The most important thing is that it is your ceremony.
