Development framework Sint Vitusplein Stiens
MFC De Skalm and the library have moved to the old town hall in Stiens, the Nije Skalm. The move will create opportunities to improve St Vitusplein and immediate surroundings. Together with the village, we went in search of those opportunities. The local authority have made a development framework for this purpose.

The draft development framework for Sint Vitusplein in Stiens will be available for inspection from Thursday, 4 July. That means you can view and comment on the draft. Do you want to respond? The local authority would like to hear what you think of the draft development framework. Would you like to be informed orally about the draft development framework? If so, you are welcome to attend the housing market on Tuesday 16 July between 19.30 and 21.00 at the Nije Skalm, Ljipstrjitte 1 in Stiens. At the housing market, you will also find information about the housing developments of Steenslân II, at the Hege hearewei and in the Remise.
Working sessions and meetings
There were 3 working sessions with local residents, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders from the village to discuss the wishes and ideas for the square. This was important to create the development framework.
The concept of the development framework was presented to the residents of Stiens during a walk-in evening on February 1, 2024.
