Harbours in the City of Leeuwarden
The City of Leeuwarden has several harbours where you can moor your boat.
City harbours
Harbour Prinsentuin Leeuwarden
The city harbour around the Prinsentuin in Leeuwarden is one of the most beautiful harbours in the Netherlands. You can moor your boat in the Prinsentuin as a visitor. Harbours in Grou
In Grou, you can moor in four different harbours: Pikmeerhaven, Hellingshaven, Nieuwe Kade and Suderkade. For more information, see the page Harbours in Grou.
Warten
- There are eight moorings for visitors near the bridge in Warten. This is near the junction between Nijpaed and Hoofdstraat.
- You pay the harbour fees and water tourist tax to the bridge master.
- The bridge master will come to you. You can only pay in cash.
- The bridge master can give you information about the harbour and the area.
- There is a toilet and shower building behind the church.
- You can use the electricity at the electricity supply pole. You can pay using coins.
Jirnsum
- There are eight moorings for visitors on Rijksstraatweg (Kerkebuurt junction).
- You pay harbour fees and water tourist tax at restaurant and catering company De Fantast. Address:

- Restaurant and catering company The Fantast can provide information about the harbour and its surroundings.
- There are no toilets or showers at these moorings.
- No power supply is available.
Museumhaven Leeuwarden
- The Museumhaven at Willemskade in Leeuwarden is home to historic ships and maritime monuments. This harbour has fixed moorings. There is sometimes temporary space for a vessel visiting Leeuwarden.

Commercial harbours
Leeuwarden
- Leeuwarden Marina offers some 700 moorings. Forty of them are for visitors.
- There is always space for visitors. The harbour is on the Standing Mast Route and offers many facilities.
Warten
- Warten marina is located in the middle of the Frisian lake district. It is at Nationaal Park De Alde Feanen.
- The harbour is managed by Stichting Jachthaven Wartena.
Wergea
- There are several moorings in Wergea for visitors.

Reduzum
- There are several moorings in Reduzum for visitors.
- You will find more information at the website of Dorpsbelang Reduzum.
Port regulations
The Port Regulations apply to the municipal ports, the buildings and grounds that belong to them of the municipality of Leeuwarden. Do you use this? Then you must adhere to the conditions in these Port Regulations and the instructions of the harbour master.
Charges
If you stay in a harbour of the City of Leeuwarden with your boat, you are charged harbour fees.

You do not pay water tourism tax if you live in the City of Leeuwarden. Neither do you pay water tourist tax for children aged five or under.
No separate charge is made for water and electricity at the visitor harbours. This is included in the mooring fee.
